I am not staying in a hotel how do I get my visa registered?

If you are staying in a flat, then you should have an Izvesheniye from the person whose flat it is, and they will be responsible for registering you with the OVIR. This can be a difficult procedure and in our experience these are the ones who fail to register the visa because of the complexities involved.
