To apply for an India visa from the UK, applicants must provide the following:
Tourist Visa Requirements
- Completed India visa application form
- Two recent passport photographs (5cm x 5cm)
- Original passport
- Clear copy of the passport information page
Business Visa Requirements
- Completed India visa application form
- Two recent passport photographs (5cm x 5cm)
- Original passport
- Clear copy of the passport information page
- Business introduction letter from a UK company
- Letter of invitation from an Indian company
- Certificate of Incorporation from the inviting company

The applicant’s full name must appear exactly as shown on their passport across all supporting documents. Therefore, ensure consistency to avoid processing delays.
⏱️ Processing Time & Visa Fees (UK)
Standard Processing
- 10–15 working days from the appointment date
Express Processing (Business Visa Only)
- Approximately 5 working days
- Applications must be submitted before 14:00 the day prior to processing

- Up to 1 year (single or multiple entry): £219.44
Business Visa Fees
- Up to 1 year (multiple entry): £259.44
Handling Fee

Journalists / Media / Charity Workers
- Applications may be referred, which can increase processing times up to 12 weeks

Journalists Travelling for Tourism Must Also Provide:
- A letter from their employer stating the purpose of travel
- A signed undertaking confirming that no media-related work will be carried out during their stay in India
